Responsibilities

The responsibilities for the Accounting Manager position include the following:

1. Manage daily operations related to general ledger accounting.

2. Assist with inquiries from Accounts Receivable, Billing, Accounts Payable, and Finance departments.

3. Review monthly closing entries prepared by staff, including prepaid accounts, fixed assets, accruals, deferred rent, and AMEX entries.

4. Oversee accounting staff to ensure timely closing and adherence to reporting deadlines.

5. Review balance sheet reconciliations and conduct analyses of general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.

6. Maintain an organized accounting filing system.

7. Prepare and review audit schedules and assist with any audit-related inquiries.

8. Aid in preparing year-end tax schedules.

9. Oversee the intercompany reconciliation process.

10. Support the compilation of month-end ancillary packages and upload them to Hyperion.

11. Act as a back-up for various areas within the Shared Service Department.

12. Respond to miscellaneous ad hoc requests.

Required Skills

Candidates for the Accounting Manager position should possess a variety of skills and experience, including:

• Proficiency in large ERP and Accounting Software, such as SAP, Oracle, and NetSuite.

  

• Strong technical accounting knowledge, including understanding of GAAP, FASB, and SEC accounting and disclosure requirements.

• Proven abilities in reconciling accounts and conducting General Ledger analysis.

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting is required, with a CPA or equivalent certification preferred.

• At least 2 years of experience managing an accounting team.

• A minimum of 5-7 years of accounting experience, ideally with a background in consolidations and intercompany eliminations.

• Advanced skills in Excel, including familiarity with functions like vlookup, sumif, and pivot tables.

• Candidates must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to effectively prioritize tasks.

• Excellent communication skills are required, particularly fluent command of English.
