Overview of the Position

Cision is currently seeking a Product Manager (SaaS) for a part-time position based remotely in Hungary. The role is designed for a period of up to 12 months and requires a commitment of three days a week.

Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for managing every aspect of the product lifecycle from ideation and strategy through to development, launch, and continuing enhancements. Key responsibilities include:

• Defining, refining, and executing product strategies and roadmaps influenced by both business goals and customer needs.
• Conducting market and customer research to unveil potential opportunities that will inform prioritization decisions and validate requirements.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineering and design, to transform product vision into actionable features, requirements, and viable solutions.
• Managing the product development lifecycle, including backlog prioritization, release planning, and ensuring launch readiness.
• Monitoring product performance using both qualitative and quantitative metrics to adjust strategies that will enhance product adoption and have a positive business impact.
• Working closely with internal departments such as sales, marketing, finance, legal, operations, and customer success to support go-to-market activities and effective product enablement.
• Acting as the voice of the customer by promoting the product internally and externally.
• Contributing to best practices within the organization and informal mentoring of peers where necessary.
• Adapting to other duties and responsibilities as necessary to support broader business needs.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, applicants should possess:

• A deep understanding of industry best practices and an ability to contribute to the development of new concepts and standards.
• Expertise in enterprise software, SaaS, or related technology sectors.
• Proven experience in developing solutions tailored to complex situations requiring extensive evaluation of various alternatives.
• Capability to independently pursue long-range goals, often self-initiated.
• A completed university degree, preferably complemented by an MBA or equivalent qualifications in product management.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a SaaS Product or Project Management role.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, alongside effective communication skills that cater to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proven experience working cross-functionally and the ability to juggle competing priorities effectively.
• Familiarity with product strategy concepts such as go-to-market planning, pricing, positioning, and ROI analysis.
• Experience presenting to executive audiences or at industry forums is advantageous.

Note: The position does require strong experience with Agile or other methodologies related to product development.
