Overview of the Role

The position of Business Development Representative (BDR) at CleverTap is designed for individuals who are highly motivated and have a passion for sales. This role will be pivotal in identifying and engaging potential clients, especially within the Hispanic Latin American market. The BDR will be responsible for conducting outbound sales activities that drive revenue growth and enhance client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

As a BDR, your day-to-day tasks will include:

  • Conducting outbound prospecting to create new business opportunities.
  • Discovering new accounts not available in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and ensuring proper documentation.
  • Attending events and industry conferences in order to network and generate leads, with a preference for candidates based in Bogotá.
  • Collaborating closely with the sales team to strategize and execute effective prospecting methods.
  • Utilizing SaaS solutions to effectively communicate the value proposition of CleverTap's platform.
  • Engaging with prospects through phone calls, emails, and social media to develop rapport and understand their needs.
  • Conducting thorough research on target accounts to tailor outreach effectively.
  • Maintaining accurate records of interactions and opportunities within the CRM system.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Candidates interested in applying for this role should meet the following key requirements:

  • A minimum of 6 months of experience in outbound sales as a BDR.
  • At least 12 months of experience in the SaaS industry.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Salesforce.com, Sales Navigator, Lusha, Outreach, and Apollo.
  • Native Spanish speaking capabilities along with fluency in English.
  • A strong understanding of the BANT (Budget, Authority, Need, Timeline) qualification methodology.
  • Prior experience in the Mexican and Colombian markets is preferred.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven mentality, thriving in a fast-paced environment.
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field is desirable.

  • Functional competencies: Knowledge of mobile marketing and marketing technology with a result-oriented approach.
  • Behavioral competencies: Strong problem-solving skills, consultative selling capabilities, and effective communication and presentation skills.

Performance measures will be assessed through qualified leads, funnel size, and conversion rates.

Reporting Structure

The BDR will directly report to the Regional Sales Director for LATAM. This relationship ensures alignment with broader sales strategies and objectives.
