Job Overview

The position of Senior Web Developer/Software Engineer is a critical one within cFive Solutions. This is a full-time remote position with flexibility to work from Anywhere in the World.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for several key tasks, including but not limited to:

• Software Lifecycle Management: Understand and manage activities across the software delivery lifecycle effectively.

• Problem Solving: Exhibit excellent troubleshooting skills when addressing and resolving issues.

• Agile Methodologies: Experience with Agile practices is essential, as well as the capacity to collaborate with Agile-based teams.

• Learning New Technologies: Quickly learn and adapt to new technologies to meet evolving challenges.

• Technical Communication: Present technical information clearly in meetings, reports, and presentations.

• Team Collaboration: Thrive in a team environment with a mix of colleagues from various backgrounds, including government clients.

• Quality Assurance: Ensure that the software products are of high quality and meet project requirements through unit, integration, and regression tests.

• Adherence to Standards: Follow architecture standards, risk management, and security policies throughout the development process.

Minimum Requirements

Candidates must fulfill the following educational and professional requirements:

• Education: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering from an accredited institution.

• Experience with Data: Expertise in data modeling, data normalization, and working with large databases is essential.

  

• Architecture and Development: Hands-on experience with microservices architecture and development.

• Operating Systems: Familiarity with both Linux and Microsoft Windows environments.

• Design and Code Reviews: Experience conducting and participating in technical reviews.

Required Computer Skills

Candidates should possess the following technical skills:

• 5-7 years of experience with Java Development Stack (J2EE, JSP, Spring, Hibernate, JSON).
• 5-7 years of developing software following Object-Oriented Design methodologies.
• 3-5 years within an Agile development environment.
• 3-5 years producing web services (REST, SOAP).
• 2-3 years of experience with Angular and Node.js.

Preferred Computer Skills

While not required, the following skills can provide an advantage during the application process:

• Experience in the Public Safety Domain.
• Background in Android mobile software development.
• Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MariaDB).
• Proficiency in writing scripts for Oracle and SQL databases.
• Familiarity with continuous integration systems (e.g., Jenkins), build automation tools (e.g., Maven), and automated testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium).
