Veeva Systems is currently seeking multiple Engineering Managers to lead and recruit teams comprising highly skilled engineers. As an Engineering Manager, the primary role will focus on creating outstanding software solutions that positively impact the daily lives of users.
The position entails a variety of responsibilities including:
Recruiting, challenging, and rewarding high-performance individuals that deliver significant impacts beyond average engineering outputs.
Leading development efforts and owning key product features in collaboration with the team in Toronto.
Providing leadership aimed at iteratively defining and refining the development processes as the team continues to grow.
Working within a small agile team, contributing to the significant growth of a successful Cloud company.
Collaboratively working with all product stakeholders to drive multiple features to successful delivery.
Acting as a trusted partner for senior management to evaluate the best solutions, driving alignment, and implementing decisions across the team.
To be considered for this role, candidates should have the following skills and qualifications:
At least 2 years of software engineering management experience, particularly with an agile development process.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in developing commercial software with Java.
A proven ability to hire, mentor, coach, and lead a team towards success.
Strong motivational skills to instill accountability and achieve results.
Expertise in object-oriented design and implementation techniques.
Experience in building application development tools, APIs, and/or enterprise application platform software.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders.
A BS/BEng in engineering, computer science, or an equivalent field.
A record as a strong mentor who has positively impacted their team.
The compensation for this role ranges from $120,000 to $300,000. This salary range has been provided to comply with local regulations and represents a potential base salary for the role. It is important to note that actual salaries can vary depending on the individual's experience and location. Compensation may also encompass other forms of remuneration in addition to the base salary, such as a variable bonus and/or stock bonuses.
