The Engineering Manager will:
Recruit, challenge, and reward high-performance individuals who have the capability to deliver 10x the impact of average engineers.
Lead the development activities and take ownership of key product features in collaboration with teams based in Toronto.
Provide mentorship and leadership in continuously defining and refining development processes as the team evolves.
Collaborate directly with product stakeholders to drive multiple features to successful delivery.
Act as a trusted partner to senior management in determining the best solutions and aligning efforts across the team.
Ideal candidates should possess:
Tenacity, technical brilliance, and a capacity for rapid contributions.
A meticulous attention to detail and pride in their work.
High levels of drive and flexibility to tackle challenges in a fast-paced environment.
Expertise in Java with a minimum of 5 years of commercial software development experience.
At least 2 years of experience in software engineering management using an agile development process.
Proven success in hiring, mentoring, coaching, and leading a software development team to achieve success.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to motivate individuals and instill a strong sense of accountability.
A BS/BEng in engineering, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Important additional skills include expertise in object-oriented design, experience building application development tools, APIs, and/or enterprise application software platform tools. The role also necessitates being a smart, quick learner who is proactive and comfortable working with evolving requirements.
Veeva Systems offers a competitive salary range of $120,000 to $300,000 CAD. This salary range is designed to comply with local regulations, reflecting a base salary range that depends on a candidate's qualifications, experience, and expected contributions. In addition to the base salary, candidates may be eligible for various types of compensation such as variable bonuses and/or stock bonuses.
