Role and Responsibilities: Field Medical Director, Mid-West

The Field Medical Director in the Mid-West is essential for providing therapeutic area and product expertise, dealing with a diverse range of Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and initiatives within the assigned territory. This role forms part of the core medical affairs team, implementing strategic and educational plans at the local level while offering scientific and medical support to important stakeholders, particularly Pierre Fabre US Medical Affairs.

The Field Medical Director serves as the scientific link for the Medical Innovative Oncology portfolio, ensuring key interactions with healthcare professionals (HCPs) and providing guidance on clinical trial requests and resources. The director might also involve themselves in reviewing promotional and non-promotional output to maintain compliance with Medical Affairs guidelines.

Key responsibilities include developing scientific relationships with KOLs, ensuring comprehensive mapping and profiling of treatment centers, and serving as a primary liaison for various clinical trials and studies. They will work collaboratively in developing U.S. medical plans and executing local strategies to meet medical objectives, prepare action plans aligned with national strategies, and support scientific publications and patient-centric activities.



Qualifications and Skills Required

The role demands an advanced degree in life sciences (PharmD, PhD, MD, DO) and experience in onco-hematology/lymphoma or cell therapy. Prior experience as a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) and competence in implementing medical tactics are crucial. Candidates need to demonstrate the ability to work in a matrix organization, interacting with different stakeholders, including marketing and commercial teams. Solid interpersonal and communication skills, including public speaking and project management skills, are essential.
