In this role, the Full Stack Developer will engage in various tasks and responsibilities that contribute to the success of the team and products. Key responsibilities include:
End-to-end development of Seed-X products and features, from specification to client deployment.
Integration with various systems, including big data pipelines and distributed systems, as well as edge devices developed by Seed-X and its partners.
Ownership of microservices and their lifecycle from start to finish.
Collaborating with designers, product managers, and peers to deliver high-quality products.
Maintaining and developing tools and systems for data tagging and biological experiments management.
Analyzing and improving the precision, scale, and stability of Seed-X products, environments, and tools.
Continuous learning to evaluate new technologies for better solutions and infrastructure.
A typical day for a Full Stack Developer at Seed-X will involve experimenting with different technologies and tools while enhancing their skill set. Developers will implement features aimed at product growth and help refine the product vision. The CI/CD workflow will allow developers to ship their code directly to production, ensuring a rapid development cycle. Collaboration and communication will be emphasized, as there is an open channel to every stakeholder in the company to facilitate task completion efficiently.
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet certain skills and experience criteria:
A minimum of 5 years of software development experience in a SaaS company.
At least 3 years of experience with a server-side programming language such as Python, Node.js, or Go.
A minimum of 3 years working with ORMs, preferably with Django.
At least 2 years of experience developing modern web applications using Vue.js or an equivalent stack with Typescript.
Familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure, specifically AWS.
Experience developing modular user interfaces and knowledge of modern CSS frameworks.
Understanding of relational and document data modeling.
Experience in building production APIs and system architecture for distributed microservices-based systems.
Familiarity with software engineering best practices, including unit testing, code reviews, and design documentation.
A B.Sc. in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
While not strictly required, the following experience and skill sets are considered advantageous:
An Operational Excellence mindset and/or experience in DevOps.
Experience implementing stream processors like Kafka.
Contributions to open-source projects, either as a founder/maintainer or active contributor.
Knowledge of deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
