Key Responsibilities

As a HSE Advisor, you will play a pivotal role within Linxon by ensuring comprehensive HSE governance across projects. The responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with site teams to schedule and facilitate audits.
  • Leading accident and incident investigations to ensure safety compliance.
  • Monitoring subcontractor activities continuously for adherence to safety standards.
  • Building and fostering relationships with Linxon staff and representatives from clients such as National Grid (NG).
  • Reviewing and discussing risk assessments and method statements with site management.
  • Attending HSE meetings and providing expert guidance on health and safety matters.
  • Engaging with the wider HSE function to promote teamwork and cooperation among different stakeholders.
  • Supporting business development as needed by providing expert advice on health and safety.
  • Maintaining your professional competency by partaking in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities.
  • Providing assurances to the HSE manager for effective safety management on site.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To qualify for this role, candidates should possess:

  • Experience in a professional HSE role, particularly within high Voltage HV substation activities, showcasing a strong understanding of industry standards and practices.
  • A thorough understanding of CDM regulations and relevant documentation for civil, mechanical, and electrical installations.
  • Proven experience in high-pressure environments, along with a strong commitment to safety practices and excellent communication skills.
  • Certification in accident investigation and relevant experience are mandatory. A graduate member of IOSH is preferred.
  • A university degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline, NEBOSH Certificate, or equivalent qualifications.
  • Training from the National Grid is ideal but not necessary.
