Job Responsibilities

As a Senior IT Operations Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and managing the administration of services within the Kubernetes platform on AWS GovCloud and OpenShift. This will also extend to tools such as GitLab and Red Hat Identity Management (IDAM).

  • Overseeing the onboarding and offboarding processes, establishing access controls, and managing service account provisioning across various environments while ensuring compliance with IL4–IL6 requirements.

  • Spearheading the automation of operational and service desk tasks. Proficiency in Bash and other scripting languages is essential to enhance response times and minimize manual work.

  • Acting as the escalation point for platform support concerns, collaborating with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot complex issues.

  • Guiding and mentoring junior talents and service desk personnel on procedures, best practices, and support methodologies.

  • Upholding documentation standards that support audit readiness and operational continuity.

  • Collaborating with security teams to ensure that services align with NIST 800-53 controls and organizational policies.

  • Identifying areas for workflow optimization and enhancing the developer support experience through improvements and automation.
