Responsibilities

Working independently in this field position, responsibilities include:

  • Interacting with Humana’s customers and external business partners through various platforms: face-to-face, virtual, and telephonic interactions.
  • Conducting grassroots marketing and field sales community events as well as visiting prospects in their homes.

As an agent, you will be tasked to sell individual health plan products while educating beneficiaries about Humana's diverse services. This includes products like Life, Annuity, Indemnity, Dental, Vision, and Prescription services.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must be:

  • Licensed to sell health insurance or be able to obtain a license before the employment starts.
  • Capable of engaging in daily face-to-face interactions with prospective members in the field.
  • Proficient with technology including mobile applications and CRM tools. High familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook) is also necessary.
  • Possessing at least a clear and valid state driver's license along with personal vehicle liability insurance.

Furthermore, applicants should remain dedicated to working from a dedicated workspace free of interruptions to protect members’ PHI/HIPAA information.

Preferred Qualifications

Although not mandatory, applicants with the following qualifications will be more desirable:

  • An active Life and Variable Annuity Insurance license
  • An Associate's or Bachelor's degree
  • Prior experience with Microsoft Teams and PowerPoint
  • Skills in community engagement and prior experience in selling Medicare products
  • Bilingual capabilities to engage with members in English and another language
  • Experience in public speaking and conducting presentations.

Salary Information

Schedule & Training
