Position Details

The Non-Linguistic Quality Control Specialist position is critical for ensuring that translations into English for pharmacovigilance and regulatory content are of the highest quality. Candidates will be engaged in performing Quality Control of translations, specifically focusing on:

• Utilizing Computer-Assisted Translation (CAT) tools (preferably XTM) to conduct quality checks that ensure both accuracy and consistency of translations.
• Verifying formatting details, numbers, dates, units, terminology, and strict adherence to instructions.
• Processing non-editable or handwritten sources and conducting formatting QC post-conversion.
• Managing workload through self-assigned tasks within available timeframes by utilizing Open Offers and meeting tight turnaround times (typically between 12-24 hours).
• Documenting discrepancies and collaborating with Project Managers (PMs) to escalate risks when needed.

Required Skills

• Mandatory experience with various CAT tools like XTM, Trados, MemoQ, and Phrase.
• Proven capability with QA checks using tools such as Xbench or Verifika, or through any CAT-integrated QA functionalities.
• Familiarity with the Track Changes feature in Microsoft Word.
• At least six months of experience as a Language QA specialist in localization is essential.
• An advanced level of English proficiency (minimum C1 level).
• Candidates are expected to be available for 4-5 hours daily and must also be willing to work on weekends and bank holidays when necessary.
• Capability to handle many small files while adhering to tight turnaround expectations.
• Candidates should be prepared to complete a quality control test and undergo a staged onboarding process.
• Prior experience in a similar QA role at a Language Service Provider (LSP) is considered a strong advantage.
