Role and Team Structure

Key Responsibilities

You will be tasked with various responsibilities including:

  • Ownership of Analytics: Manage analytics across extensive product areas, developing relationships with stakeholders and identifying user behavior trends throughout the platform.

  • Insights and Recommendations: Move beyond merely tracking metrics. You will define success measures, uncover trends, and translate your findings into clear recommendations that will influence product decisions.

  • Advanced Analytics Techniques: Engage in using methodologies such as regression analysis, causal inference, and A/B testing to provide actionable insights. You will also be involved in evaluating new features to ensure continuous enhancement.

  • Enable Self-service Data Solutions: Work on innovative projects that promote self-service data accessibility for product teams, ensuring informed decision-making effectively scales across the organization.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To qualify for this position, candidates should offer the following:

  • Experience: A minimum of 6 years in data science or analytics, preferably in an online environment.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL and fluency in programming languages like Python or R for transforming data into meaningful insights. You should be comfortable managing large datasets and optimizing data pipelines using tools such as Looker Studio, Tableau, and dbt.

  • Statistical Expertise: Deep familiarity with statistical concepts and techniques, with experience in regression analysis, causal inference, and hypothesis testing.

  • Analytics Tools: Mastery of tools for web and app analytics such as Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager.

  • Experimentation: Hands-on experience designing A/B tests, demonstrating the ability to develop robust methodologies yielding actionable insights.

  • Communication and Mentorship: Strong skills in effectively conveying complex data insights to various stakeholders, alongside a willingness to mentor junior data scientists.
