Position Details

The available role is that of a Senior Migration Consultant in the Research and Development (R&D) section. The consultant will be a key member of the Professional Services group, responsible for providing migration solutions while implementing the Veeva Vault R&D applications and the Vault Platform cloud solutions for companies in the life sciences industry. The Senior Migration Consultant will lead customer migration implementations and will act as an advocate for customers, collaborating with various Veeva teams, including Services, Product, Sales, and Strategy.

Key Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of the Senior Migration Consultant includes:

  • Providing expertise in Vault R&D migration implementations.
  • Advising customers on the extract, transform, and load (ETL) process.
  • Mentoring Veeva's Data Migration Specialists on migration activities and best practices.
  • Developing a comprehensive knowledge base for the Professional Services division on migrations.
  • Guiding and offering expertise on the development of migration tools for the ETL process.
  • Assisting in estimating project scope for the Vault R&D product suite.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Applicants interested in this role should ideally possess:

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience with document/content migration using enterprise content management systems such as Documentum, OpenText, Box, and SharePoint.
  • At least 7 years of database migration experience with enterprise software systems like SAP, Salesforce, PeopleSoft, Oracle, and more.
  • A strong background in customer-facing technical consulting, along with experience in engaging with senior management and executives as a subject matter expert.
  • Proven experience in leading and mentoring team members.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, and XML technologies is crucial.
  • Must be situated in and legally authorized to work in Canada or the United States.
  • Flexibility to travel up to 10% is required.
