Job Role: Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack)

Tines is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its engineering team. This role emphasizes not merely writing code but also influencing the technical direction, product development, and company culture. You will primarily focus on building the case management solution, essential for how customers’ security teams track, respond to, and handle security incidents.

Candidates will use their skills to develop the next version of case management and work on products that offer greater observability and insights to clients. Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Drive impactful changes in the codebase quickly, seeing updates go live shortly after merging.

  • Collaborate closely with design and product colleagues to evolve the product, with engineers playing a crucial role in resolving customer pain points.

  • Write and review high-quality, well-tested code, ensuring a stable product and stress-free codebase for the team.

  • Identify areas for improvement in both the codebase and team processes, taking responsibility for enhancing team performance.

  • Own the problems you solve and the software you create, responding to customer feedback to refine solutions.

  • Mentor fellow engineers, providing guidance and support to help them advance their capabilities.

  • Adopt a leadership role within the engineering team, sharing knowledge and promoting best practices.

Projects and Innovations

You may work on exciting projects such as:

  • Developing a dynamic case management incident triage experience.

  • Enhancing the Records feature to handle significant customer data volumes.



  • Collaborating with design and product teams to create features such as case notes, mobile views, and dashboard charts.

  • Utilizing Tines' own product to improve developer workflow and experience, including tracking bugs in cases.

  • Contributing to the community by writing informative blogs about your experiences and learnings.

Required Skills

Candidates should possess:

  • 8+ years of experience as a professional software engineer, highlighting a successful track record.

  • Proficiency in building and delivering software using a high-level programming language, with Ruby and TypeScript as the main languages employed at Tines.

  • The ability to navigate a Byteboard exercise involving feature additions to a command-line app, reflecting comfort with technical complexity.

  • A broad skill set is valued, as the role isn't specialized; applicants should be open to contributing across different areas of the stack.

  • A genuine curiosity and eagerness to learn, without needing prior expertise in technologies like Ruby or TypeScript, as educational materials will be provided.
