Responsibilities

Designing and Managing Data Models

As the Senior Backend Engineer, you will oversee the design and management of the data model, which will involve various internal and external medical data. Your role will entail ensuring the database is:

To succeed in this position, candidates must possess specific skills that demonstrate their capability:

Must-Have Skills

  • Expert-Level Proficiency with PostgreSQL: Candidates should be well-versed in database modeling, security/authentication/authorization, performance tuning, transactions, triggers, and data history management.
  • TypeScript: Strong knowledge of TypeScript is essential.
  • NextJS/NodeJS: Experience with these frameworks will be critical as they are part of the backend technology stack.

  • Proficiency with React, as the company utilizes NextJS.

Bonus Skills

  • AWS knowledge.
  • Experience with backend workflow tools such as temporal.io or airflow.
  • Familiarity with Python for flexibility in development needs.

Work Environment and Team Collaboration

In the role, you will collaborate closely with a team comprising the head of engineering, the principal engineer, product designers, and the CEO.
