Sr. People Business Partner

GRIN is looking for an ambitious, organized, and proactive Sr. People Business Partner to join our growing company. In this role, you can expect to communicate directly with employees on a typical day regarding policies, programs, benefits, and compensation. In addition, you will need to translate complex HR information into messages and instructions our employees across the organization can easily digest. This person must have a passion for culture, people, and process improvements.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and foster an inclusive and diverse culture aligned to our company vision, mission & values.
  • Take an integrated but consultative approach to partner with departmental leaders and people managers in designing people programs that support our scaling organization.
  • Roll out people processes including performance management, compensation planning, and career development programs to your client groups
  • Partner with managers on performance improvement initiatives, career development action plans, training initiatives, conflict resolution, and other employee concerns
  • Respond to employee questions regarding but not limited to the following: employee relations, company policies, leadership and employee development, compensation, etc.
  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to create talent pipelines, define new roles, interview key talent where needed, and identify skill gaps or future hires.
  • Partner with the People Operations team to ensure employees are knowledgeable and actively using the employee benefits and wellness programs.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Be a collaborative member of the broader People Team, a trustworthy business supporter, and lead by example across Grin’s values.

Qualifications:

  • Six years of experience in Human Resources
  • PHR and SPHR or SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP are strongly preferred
  • Collaborative and customer-focused with the ability to develop strong relationships at all levels
  • Demonstrated ability to align HR programs to business goals and objectives in a high growth environment
  • Proven capabilities in guiding organizations through periods of change
  • Experience in the interpretation of people analytics and data to drive business decisions and results
  • Software industry experience preferred
