Required Skills and Qualifications

Candidates for this role should possess the following experience and qualifications:

• Proven background as a Security Engineer, with experience in managing a team effectively.

• Strong hands-on experience in application security including threat modeling, secure design reviews, SAST/SCA tooling, vulnerability management, and security automation.

• Proficiency in Python and JavaScript, along with familiarity in cloud infrastructure using AWS and Google Cloud Platform.

• Prior experience of people management — hiring, growing, and managing performance of security engineers.

• Demonstration of a clear understanding of AI-native security engineering, specifically how it affects the attack surface and can be applied defensively.

• Experience in a fast-growing SaaS or AI company where you actively contributed to an AppSec program.

Bonus points may be awarded to those with experience in Kubernetes, or familiarity with specific tools like Semgrep, Wiz, and CrowdStrike.
