Role Description

The Account Executive II will play an essential role in identifying, generating, qualifying, and closing new business opportunities within a defined territory. Responsibilities include managing the complete sales lifecycle and building a go-to-market plan comprising both direct and indirect business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop Accounts: Build and maintain new and existing accounts within the defined territory.

  • Territory Sales Plan: Create and maintain a comprehensive territory sales plan that outlines a clear road map to success.

  • Achieve Sales Quotas: Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quotas by proactively generating leads and opportunities with both new and existing customers.

  • Account Management: Responsible for sales forecasting, lead generation, prospecting, and managing accounts throughout the sales cycle.

  • Whitespace Data: Maintain accurate whitespace data on customer and prospect accounts, which involves diligent tracking and reporting.

  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Vice President, Sales Engineers, Partner Account Managers, and the broader team to align with strategic goals.

  • Channel Partnership: Collaborate with the Channel team and partners to provide value to customers and BeyondTrust.

  • Sales Pipeline Management: Keep an organized sales pipeline activity in Salesforce and ensure all customer interactions are logged

  • Product Demo and Presentations: Schedule and conduct detailed product demonstrations and prepare presentations for prospects, customers, and partners, leveraging sales engineering support when necessary.

  • RFP Responses: Lead RFP responses for assigned accounts.

Required Skills

  • Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a relevant field is essential.

  • Sales Experience: A minimum of 2-4 years of customer-facing sales experience is required, particularly with security, Privilege Access Management (PAM), or IT-related software.

  • Track Record: A strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas. Successful candidates should come with established networks and relationships with senior IT professionals.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and influencing skills to promote products effectively and engage customers.

  • Travel Requirement: Willingness to travel within the defined region, approximately 25%, to engage with clients directly.

Nice to Have

  • Completion of formal sales training such as MEDDICC, Command the Message, Sandler, SPIN, DISC, TAS, or Miller can be an added advantage and is considered beneficial for this role.
