Job Responsibilities

The responsibilities for this role are diverse and highly integrated into the wider company objectives:

• DevOps Culture: Engage in a DevOps culture, collaborating closely with Senior Software Development Engineers (SDEs) and Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) to deliver software efficiently across various cloud platforms.

• Architectural Leadership: Architect and implement the flagship SaaS platform using a microservice approach deployed through Node.js, Express, GraphQL, and Python.

• User-Facing Applications: Assist in developing client-facing web applications by utilizing frameworks such as React.js following software development best practices.

• Agile Collaboration: Participate in daily discussions with product leadership to define architecture, set goals, and manage the JIRA backlog, ensuring a synchronized approach to upcoming sprints.

• Software Reliability: Work with SREs to enhance platform stability and quality, ensuring that customer needs are consistently met.

• Problem Solving: Engage in direct interaction with both SREs and customers to diagnose, debug, and resolve production issues swiftly.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this position, applicants should have the following qualifications:

• Education: While formal education in STEM fields or vocational certificates related to software development are preferred, demonstrable real-world experience is highly valued.

• Experience: Candidates must possess at least 5+ years of experience in architecting software for SaaS, cloud, web, and mobile platforms, along with 7+ years of programming experience with technologies such as React, Angular, Node.js, and Python.

  

• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with cloud solutions and Linux administration, as well as hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration is essential. An understanding of a wide range of relational and NoSQL databases is also required.

• API Design: Expertise in modern API design patterns, including REST and GraphQL, is critical to thrive in this role.

• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills are imperative for effective collaboration across various teams in the company.
