The Senior Quality Engineer will contribute significantly to enhancing infrastructure related to the Veeva Vault product line. The responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Understanding and testing improvements in the Vault infrastructure architecture, leveraging technologies like AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker.
Setting up, maintaining, and improving the infrastructure test environment, ensuring robust operational quality and reliability.
Developing comprehensive test strategies for infrastructure features such as Zero downtime upgrades, High Availability (HA), and Disaster Recovery (DR).
Creating documentation that includes test plans, test cases, and bug reports, assessing quality outcomes and associated risks.
Engaging in various QA activities, such as executing tests, verifying bugs, and automating testing processes for cloud-based infrastructure.
Assisting in hiring, onboarding, and mentoring new team members, thereby fostering a culture of learning and growth within the team.
Ideal candidates will possess the following qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
Proficiency in white-box testing or Infrastructure Validation.
Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure technologies such as AWS and expertise in programming languages like Java, C#, JavaScript, Python, or Bash/Shell.
Strong capability in developing infrastructure automation strategies and experience with tools like Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation, and GitHub.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with product managers, software engineers, and other QA engineers.
Experience in a SaaS environment that follows an agile development process.
Nice to have: Familiarity with unit/functional test frameworks and experience in the health and life sciences industries.
The base salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $165,000, dependent on the candidate's experience and location.
