Position Overview and Responsibilities

The SLED Regional Sales Director, who answers to the VP Public Sector, is tasked with bolstering Diligent's SaaS platform across a specific territory. This role centers on acquiring new customers and nurturing existing relationships in cities such as Sacramento and Seattle. The Sales Director must exhibit high energy and a track record of success within the SLED market. Responsibilities include crafting impactful account strategies, leading a sales team, driving brand awareness, supporting existing customer accounts for expansion, and managing the entire sales process through various stages up to and including the closing of deals.

Qualifications and Skills

Candidates for the SLED Regional Sales Director should have 3-5 years of relevant SaaS or Enterprise Software sales experience, preferably in the SLED sector. A proven ability to meet and exceed sales quotas and working knowledge of GRC are essential. The role requires a proactive hunter mentality for securing new business, excellent communication and presentation skills, and proficiency in common software and sales tools. The ideal candidate should also be open to travel for customer engagement and industry events.

The role focuses on meeting quarterly and annual sales goals, maintaining an active sales pipeline, mastering sales principles like the Command of the Message and MEDDICC, and fostering a team environment by sharing best practices.
