Responsibilities

The Senior Financial Analyst at Rain will be responsible for a variety of critical functions, including:

• Maintaining and enhancing the primary financial model for various essential purposes such as investor reporting, setting internal targets, overseeing budgets, and cash flow forecasting.
• Managing and overseeing the company's budgets, appraising leadership and budget owners of deviations, and identifying opportunities and risks.
• Developing the company's cash forecasting ability to provide an accurate estimate of its cash runway.
• Analyzing financial data for reporting precision and collaborating with business partners to reinforce strategic business decisions.
• Preparing and examining the integrity of financial planning data, analyzing discrepancies, and seeking to resolve them.
• Generating ad hoc reports and financial analysis to assess new partnerships, products, or business models, coupled with tracking, reporting, analyzing, and predicting cash flows.
• Understanding budget variances and delivering insights regarding potential opportunities or risks to leadership.
• Interpreting financial statements and offering input as well as support to the Accounting team on matters such as accruals and cost allocations across departments and accounts.

Desired Skills

• 3 to 5 years of experience in consulting, or financial planning and analysis.
• Strong Excel financial modeling skills.
• Solid accounting knowledge for comprehending financial statements.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and investigative abilities.
• Robust attention to detail with the proficiency to manage tasks effectively in a fast-moving environment.
• Exceptional communication skills necessary for cooperation with various team leaders and departments within Rain.
