Position Description

The Associate Director of Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) at Privia Health is a key role overseeing RCM operations in assigned markets. This leadership position entails responsibility for implementing policies and processes, managing Accounts Receivable for approximately 500 providers, and ensuring achievement of performance metrics. Reporting to the Sr. Director of RCM, this role demands a proactive approach to management and a commitment to the company’s mission, vision, and compliance standards.

Core Responsibilities

As the Associate Director, one will serve as an expert in payer reimbursement, oversee financial health of AR, ensure practice operations maintenance by both leadership and direct function replacement when required, drive improvements based on AR dashboards, participate in budgeting, manage A/R accuracy, and provide performance feedback. This role includes direct leadership, with responsibilities such as hiring, termination, coaching, and conducting meetings with various levels of staff and executives.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree preferably in Science or Business Administration, extensive experience with Epic Professional Billing and AthenaHealth EMR software, and a certification as a Professional Coder. Candidate must possess experience managing physician revenue cycles, demonstrate thorough understanding of all payers, and have strong analytical skills with Microsoft Excel proficiency. Compliance with HIPAA regulations is mandatory.

Interpersonal Skills and Attributes

Candidates should demonstrate excellent communication, strategical and tactical thinking, the ability to manage ambiguities, and direct personnel towards shared goals effectively.

Compensation and Additional Information

Remote Technical Requirements

For remote workers, there are specific technical requirements such as internet speed, with a minimum of 5 MBPS download and 3 MBPS upload speed.
