  • Build and maintain relationships within your territory, mapping existing contacts and growing a network of aspirational connections. You’ll lead presentations of CockroachDB’s product and vision to diverse audiences, including C-level executives and team members.
  • Manage your pipeline by providing timely forecasts and clear visibility on sales and revenue performance.

Expectations and Timeline

In your first month, you will develop a solid understanding of CockroachDB's product and begin engaging with existing accounts. By the end of three months, you should have a clear account strategy and a well-structured relationship network within your region. After six months, you are expected to have built a robust pipeline, achieving three times your quota.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • 8-10+ years of experience in selling enterprise solutions, particularly within the database ecosystem or adjacent technologies.
  • Proven success in leading sizable and intricate sales cycles with C-Level executives at Fortune 500 companies.
  • A consultative and value-based approach to selling software solutions for various deployment options (cloud, on-premise, hybrid).
  • Skills in assessing customer needs and fostering trusted relationships with stakeholders at multiple levels.
  • A strong record of overachievement and meeting sales targets.
  • Excellent time management and resource allocation abilities.

Salary and Benefits
